Respect, Nobility

 by Marc Caccavale

People want respect. People deserve respect. People want to earn respect. People want to be given respect. Nobility contemporarily can be associated with virtue, honesty, decency, integrity, honor, dignity. One can argue that to gain respect and to give respect, an individual or group requires nobility based on these associated characteristics. When it is said, I have no respect for him/her or them, what they are saying is the individual or the group lacks nobility, therefore is not deserving of respect.

Business, the operations and activities of doing business in theory should be noble and therefore command respect from within and outside. Successful innovators who work hard to realize their vision arguably would not be able to do so without characteristics of nobility which in turn result in respect. Case studies of the most successful innovations, businesses, and industries resulting from fulfillment of vision in many instances embody nobility, respect, benefiting society. Think about it.
